About
Philippe Jean - Professional headshot

Currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science at Farmingdale State College with a 3.6 GPA, specializing in full-stack development. I contribute to building scalable web applications and have experience across the entire development stack.

In the past, I've had the opportunity to develop software across a variety of settings from consulting firms and educational institutions to freelance projects. Additionally, I also work as a math tutor, helping students master complex mathematical concepts from basic algebra to advanced linear algebra.

In my spare time, I'm usually coding personal projects, learning new technologies, or exploring the latest developments in web development and AI integration.

About Me

Philippe Jean - Professional headshot

I'm a passionate Computer Science student and full stack developer who believes technology should solve real problems and make people's lives better. Currently pursuing my B.S. at Farmingdale State College with a 3.6 GPA, I've dedicated myself to the science of software development. My journey in tech has been driven by curiosity, creativity, and a relentless desire to build things that matter.

My technical expertise spans the full development stack, from crafting intuitive user interfaces with React and Next.js to building robust backend systems with FastAPI and Node.js. I've worked across consulting firms, educational institutions, and freelance projects, gaining hands-on experience in AI integration, database design, and modern web frameworks. Beyond coding, I also work as a math tutor, helping students navigate everything from basic algebra to advanced linear algebra, which has sharpened my ability to break down complex concepts into digestible pieces.

When I'm not immersed in code, you'll find me exploring my diverse interests. I'm an avid reader, and my favorite book is "Red Rising" by Pierce Brown. I'm also a huge film enthusiast, with "Inception" being my all time favorite movie; I love how it blends storytelling with mind-bending concepts. In my downtime, I enjoy playing video games such as The Last Of Us and Ghost of thushima and hiking local trails to clear my mind.

I thrive in collaborative environments where ideas flow freely and innovation is encouraged. Whether I'm pair programming with teammates, mentoring fellow students, or tackling a challenging bug at 2 AM, I bring enthusiasm and a problem solving mindset to everything I do. I'm particularly drawn to projects that involve AI and machine learning, as I believe these technologies will shape the future of how we interact with software.

Currently, I'm seeking opportunities to apply my skills in software engineering, data driven development, and machine learning. I'm excited about roles where I can contribute to meaningful projects, continue learning from experienced developers, and grow as both an engineer and a creative problem solver. If you're working on something interesting or just want to chat about tech, books, or the best hiking spots, I'd love to connect!
